All messages taken by your assigned virtual receptionist are accessible 24 hours a day, via our message retrieval server. Alternatively, for a nominal cost you may choose to be notified of your messages using any of the various options listed below.

Fax /email

As a general rule, clients require fax or email notification of messages when they are in the office and diversion takes place because lines are busy. In this scenario, we are able to detect that you are on a call, inform the caller of this fact, take a message, and send the detail to you instantly - often before you've finished your current telephone call.

Text  to mobile / pager

11p per item

Message details can be formatted as text and relayed immediately to your mobile phone or pager.

Remote switchboard

When required, we can act as your private switchboard, announcing and connecting your callers, wherever you may be (mobile or landline).

Emergency call to mobile or landline

On occasions when the nature of a message is extremely important (e.g. a new sales enquiry), we shall contact you on a predefined list of numbers.

* Call units are 1 minute in duration, which is usually adequate for the management of an inbound call.

** In addition to the listed charge, direct network cost associated with the call duration will be be levied at cost.

Itinerary codes (ITS)

A unique digital facility pioneered by Active Link ™.
'ITS' automatically enables your assigned receptionist to inform callers of your expected time of return.

For example, if you are about to leave the office and expect to be out until lunchtime, you simply divert your calls using the single digit ITS code associated with this action. When your calls are answered, our system displays the additional information relating to your movements.

Should your schedule change whilst away, you can reset the ITS code remotely, whereupon your receptionist will be presented with the updated data e.g. you are now away until 4pm.

Out of hours voicemail

£2.80 month

Outside the 'live' operator period, you may continue to divert your calls to your call handling facility, thus removing the need to return to your office and enable your answer phone.
Out of hours callers will be greeted by your personalised voicemail message and have the opportunity to leave a message for you. Messages may be retrieved free of charge at any time from any touch tone telephone.

General Information

A fully refundable deposit of £22.50 and a connection fee of £75 shall be required prior to commencement of service.


All charges are exclusive of VAT, which shall be levied at the  prevailing rate.
